We can do that in our business, but what the coach does for that six year old kid is like, OK, well, we need to probably make it to the the first meet this weekend, you know, let's try and win that first meet and then let's just focus on the next one and focus on the next one.
Takeaway:So, when we have to set ourselves up for a realistic action plan. And that's those two things that kind of usually people land in one of those camps.
Takeaway:I think about future Amanda all the time and I also think about previous Amanda. So like when I think back when I started my business in 2017, I am so proud of her. Because I didn't know anything about running a business.
Takeaway:So my suggestion for that issue is make an ideas list, celebrate the out of all of those ideas, don't punish yourself for having multiple. Write them all, and then based on your capacity, you choose the one that you have the capacity to actually achieve and you're most excited about.
Takeaway:We have to dream big and set those big audacious goals that we have no freaking clue how we can achieve them. We need to dream big like that, but we also have to set ourselves up for a realistic action plan.
Takeaway:To me, that's not the big vision. To me, that is a list of ideas, and we need to celebrate the list of ideas. It's not bad to have a list of ideas, right? But what we have to do is we have to focus on one at a time.
Takeaway:And there are 3 levels of accountability that I've really seen that work well. And the first is technology... The second is other people... The third is you need to pay for it. It is, you have to invest your finances in order to take it seriously.
Takeaway:And if we can just do what we said we were going to do, like it's unbelievable how much more progress we can make. So I'll get off that soapbox because I could stay there all day on that one.
Takeaway:So here's the formula. Yeah, this is so good and it's super simple. It's very, very simple. And like you said, you mentioned the calculator. I created a calculator for people. And when you access the calculator, it's completely free. There is an example, a video example that I walked through, so you can see this in real time.
Takeaway:And when I realized we have to take our capacity into account before setting the goal, that's when things changed. So there was this aha moment of how many planning parties have you gone to where it's like, set the goal and then plot it on the calendar. But if we don't take our capacity into account first, we screw ourselves over, we're not gonna win because what you said earlier, like, I think I can take on the world.
